the main big deal is memory management, which is handled for you in a fast and deterministic manner

We do rich text document rendering into raster images at work. It's horrible. The company started with it in late 90's and it's still an on-going process to work on.

D&D was fun today, by the way. They met a galeb duhr, a rock elemental of sorts. I decided to try to give it a speech pattern similar to Witcher 3's trolls. My players immediately wanted to adopt it.
