shinmera: My mind started to wander, I ended up checking crossovers for films and games, and found that if spinoff crossover games could be considered canon with each other, eventually it turns out that all Nintedo games are part of the Shrek canon.

shinmera: DreamWorks had this racing game with characters from Shrek and a few other films, making all those films of the Shrek canon. One of those had characters featured in a Nickelodeon Brawl knockoff fighting game. In included rabbids which connects to Mario. And that connection then goes to Smash.

shinmera: that's interesting, it reminds me of this idea of games with a lattice-based completion system where you can statically prove there are no game dead-ends

shinmera: maybe something a finite state machine, where the current node defines the alphabet of input actions, where an action can be an interaction with an object or person, and state transition thus implicitly adds and removes possible interactions
