Heard some senator decided to just leave the state because it got cold. I'd guess people weren't too happy.

selwyn: His JS has a lot of things that really bug me but I don't want to go around fixing them.

shinmera: I'll definitely try to keep it up. Especially as I managed to do it half a sleep last time.

I always heard dark theme is better in low light situations due to the ambient light... but the reverse in bright rooms

is it possible to broadcast the update when it happens (and keep a 'hidden' update if it needs to be subtle)?

I always end up just writing my own clients from scratch because half the time it feels like I spend longer trying to learn my limitations

they have many words that are quite similar but you need to use the right one in different contexts or something? I feel like i'm chatting shit though

shin: yeah but from what i can remember there's fairly set ending endings for past tense. if i say "i read ___" in english it's contextual whether it's present or past tense, and then based on that, how the word read sounds is also contextual

shin: it's also somewhat easy with the pronounciation because like, all the vowels in japanese sound the same

shinmera: I think I was on level 8 at the time I stopped last year... doing it everyday is kind of a chore

shinmera: Your perception of self sounds skewed. You're good at both of those things.

shinmera: what gingy said. those people who do one thing really, really well suck ass at everything else

shinmera: they focus on one thing, and that ends up being to the detriment of other skills

shinmera: I do think that people who are really exceptional at most things they do is cool to have around.

shinmera: different people definitely do learn in different ways and that should also be taken in to account. but i also think that income and affordable spare time has something to do with it. hear me out

shinmera: Not to inspire, it's just good to know there are people who can handle things because I sure can't. So I'm free to do my own thing and not worry when I can't do anything.

shinmera: there, especially over here in the u.s. has been a mass defunding in the arts across schools. there's been a school i've seen that went months without an english teacher, in a poor area. so people who have wealthier parents that can afford art programs and the necessary tools to fund them, have a leg up over others

shinmera: Clearly we need a motivational team work talk person to teach about letting other people help with buzzwords about synergetic existence.

shinmera: there's that semi-comfortable middle class-ish wealth though. my nephew, his mother had middle class parents. so my nephew got to go to private school and now plays in the orchestra. there's really wealthy people who will never have to work a day in their life, and then there's that middle class area where they have enough money for a person to be able to have the breathing room to find something they're good at
