So I guess I could just slap a flamegraph in there but I don't remember how to generate those from sprof

The reviewers mentioned my lack of standard and/or many benchmarks. cl-bench just doesn't use much memory, and I can't scale down the heap to "fit" because CPU caches won't get smaller.

I know someone did a thing to use the default flamegraph tools but I'm on mobile atm

So since Kandria is flopping hard, I've been thinking some more about how to increase my steady income a little bit. I don't expect the sales to improve enough to sustain me, nor do I really expect that to improve for future titles

The question for that though is what can I offer as incentives for people to support me on there

does anyone know if radiance has a database:function that allows for the manipulation of columns in tables? basically I want to drop two columns and rename one.

darn. is there any database function to allow for the manual execution of raw sql queries (albeit this would break the fact that it would be tied to a specific persistance layer)

for the postgres one I think there's a with-connection macro, after which just the usual postmodern functions work.

I would like a db:modify thing, but I considered it out of scope given how strongly the backends can vary about that kinda thing.

I'll look for that macro anyway so I know its there in the future incase I need a really specific query

Anyway, all that is to say, if someone did the work to spec out the interface and implement it, I'd be elated ;)

shinmera: Sorry to hear about the lower than expected Kandria adoption. I have no idea how it would translate in to money, but I can say that without your huge pile of common lisp libraries, reviving the codebase I work on would have been way more difficult. Without people modernizing things like yourself, fukamachi and others, programming in common lisp today would be suffocating.

Well, I suppose I'm not glad to hear that you feel Lisp would be that much worse without my contributions, but I understand the sentiment

Well, not really just lisp itself, but the integrations you need to do modern work (and modern graphics work) in it without doing everything from scratch. The usage of cl-opengl and everything built on top it, having 3d-matrices and 3d-vectors right there ready to go, all the tooling necessary to build things integrated into the desktop and web ecosystem that happens to be prevalent at the moment. Without that lisp is just a

I don't personally have the capacity or skill to just roll out useful, tested, elegant libraries in my sleep. Without you guys I would be totally screwed.
