having LLVM IR as a target wouldn't really be helpful. LLVM IR on it's own is not hugely useful, it still needs to be turned into machine code and that means running LLVM somehow

A few days ago i took a clasp disassemble converted that to IR and then built it out as a RISC-V object ....

Whatever I did I then took it and was able to link it in an image I loaded into QEMU that is doing the SiFive.

Something I did to get to .s and then was able to arch to the Risc-V 64. You know what is annoying. The ephemeral and ever vanishing nature of .bash_history :|

Anyway what I am saying is I wrote a little bit of lisp in clasp. (print "hello") then I disassembled it out to .fasp.

Then took that over into llvm-dis to get my IR at which point I got the .bc and then some mysteries and then a .s and then a .o ...

and then did more hand waving to get a Qemu running the RISC-V with some Debian on top.
