I still have a workaround in Coreboot to set the iapc-boot-arch flags, to indicate the presence of the 8042 controller

this seems like a bug in coreboot, because it has FADT version 3, and versions > 1 are supposed to set this iapc-boot-arch's i8042-present bit

however, Linux seems to parse the DSDT to check for the presense of a PS/2 keyboard and mouse, so it doesn't hit this coreboot bug

QEMU works because its configuration has FADT version 1, which means to assume the i8042 is present

I'm still getting "No handler accepted IRQ" constantly for IRQ 7 unless I comment that line out

and, platform-reboot fails trying to find the reset address (maybe another coreboot incompatibility; haven't dug into that one yet)

oh, the IRQ7 is explained here: https://forum.osdev.org/viewtopic.php?p=77493&sid=5dd3c4bf86579d28651d1852100f35fb#p77493

ah, spurious IRQ7/IRQ15 detection is already there but disabled because of issues with IRQ15

I don't really have a lot to contribute at the moment, but I'd like to say what's going on with Mezzano is really cool. I've been observing it for awhile now and just wanted to drop by and let you guys know it's pretty dope.
