18:48:26bitblit1<beach> "CodeBitCookie: You never told me..." <- Oh, no I don't. I thought you would be working on something like that. However, you told me that you just wanted to see the viability of the project and not think of completing it (if I understand correctly?)
18:49:13bitblit1Also, if you don't mind me asking, is this a research you thought of making yourself or did someone request you to research on this topic?
21:48:03nytpudoes resetting an array's fill pointer mark anything above the fill pointer for garbage collection? (assuming no other references) i have a large vector of strings that i'm reusing by doing `(setf (fill-pointer vec) 0)`, but i want to make sure i'm not keeping unused potentially large strings hanging around if the underlying capacity isn't fully reused
21:52:58Bikenytpu: no, stuff above the fill pointer is still alive.
21:54:03Bikeyou might want to throw in a cl:fill call to wipe the unused data
21:58:28nytpuBike: okay, i figured as such once i remembered aref can index above the fill pointer
