I heard just clicking the link directly can cause HN to shadow slow down the post

Shinmera, congrats, too. So, obvious question: how do you deal with gc pauses, if any?
14:35:35
hayley
Fare: Have halved pause times by using a parallel GC, but pauses are infrequent and already not that annoying IME.

Just did the intro until first save ... Excellent so far ! (love the art, the control, the music ...)

Shinmera: is the soundtrack released and my steam client is acting up or is it not?
14:58:11
jackdaniel
it seems to download now so either you were very quick or it was indeed acting up ;p
15:13:29
Shinmera
Yeah the distributor did not release it for some reason so I had to manually click the release button

Is github.com/slime/slime still the right repo for SLIME? I was trying to follow the documentation links there, and they are all broken.
19:52:10
jackdaniel
didn't ms change at some point its urls and broke literally all links that pointed to websites hosted on github?

edgar-rft
according to the talking on #common-lisp.net they're trying to update the software

and if my following up experiment of build original latex209 successed, I should able to recompile CLtL2 and fix the long bothered textoverflow problem in the public PDF

louis77
or it was originally written in russian and then translated to english and they forgot to delete these parts :-)

Can an ANIS compliant implementation add extra optional arguments to standard functions?
23:52:04
White_Flame
I know some specific standard functions explicitly allow adding more keyword arguments, I don't think there's carte blanche to add onto everything
23:53:24
Alfr
Devon, I think 1.5.1.{1,3}, if you add them after others and if there are no &key parameters.
23:53:47
Alfr
Devon, real problem is that programs using those extensions wouldn't be conforming anymore.
