github whined a little bit but i think they took the files anyway. so either https://scymtym.github.io/content/second-climacs-9.mp4 or https://scymtym.github.io/content/second-climacs-9.ogv . i never know which works better

If I were you, I would show this link in #commonlisp as well, but you can decide what you want to do of course.

the version control status currently parses the 06git diff output but we could also do the diffing ourselves, of course

There are already many more features than what can be done with Emacs and SLIME. I guess the main one missing is still indentation. Anything else?

depends on how far along the roadmap we are talking. eventually, there will be AST-based processing including macro expansion and dependency tracking between AST nodes

i can mention the demo in #commonlisp, sure. i hope people won't be disappointed that they can't try it as of now

What I meant was that, if we were to aim for something better than SLIME as soon as possible, then more analysis would be less important and indentation more important. But that's a big IF of course.

i hope with dependency tracking mostly out of the way i can't approach AST processing next

*can. i'm mentioning the dependency between indentation and AST processing because it could mean that we have to do both
16:28:19
scymtym
i don't know yet. the requirement will be that the AST representation has to work with, at least, the indentation module, the syntax highlighting module and the macro expander
16:28:52
scymtym
i don't immediately see why iconoclast and common boot wouldn't work with those modules but i haven't tried it either
16:29:53
scymtym
the concrete representation might not matter too much in the end since those modules mainly need access to the tree structure and the node "kinds", i think
16:31:06
scymtym
similar to how the text editing library does expression-based manipulation through a very narrow interface "in front of" wads and csts

My (admittedly small) family just announced that dinner is served. I'll be back tomorrow.

i don't know that there is an official pronounciation. i could be saying it wrong as well

I am not always the best with pronounciation since I have mish-mash accent from living all over the U.S. ... but I guess I assumed that it was like "climax?"
