It's very work-in-progress of course. The parts that would need to be in core I would separate out and submit as a PR without any Wayland specialization first.

generally things that are shared between backends should end up eventually in climb package (used by climi)

yes, that makes sense. I guess I'm still in protocol-discovery phase. I'd like to test it with SDL when it "feels" better on wayland

for bigger changes please make a pull request on codeberg, so that I can review it; for small changes, if that's more convenient to you, patches are fine
