22:08:53joniwould you all recommend installing via quicklisp, or via my package manager (in this case a user contributed PKGBUILD) or via github sources?
22:11:38sjl_I use a git clone into quicklisp/local-projects and like it because it's easy to poke at the source and make a PR if necessary.
22:12:30sjl_Oh wait, I don't actually use it in local-projects, I just use make from the git checkout
23:48:57jonihmm, anyone running sly in emacs and connecting to stumpwm?
0:25:15PuercoPopnever use your package manager, that usually means out of date lisp implementations. I do quicklisp + clone into local-projects as well
0:44:39joniPuercoPop: I figured out sly, it was pretty clear from the sly readme
0:46:26jonibeen fighting hdpi wars for a while, I'll get back to it tomorrow night maybe :)
2:29:43benleyeven on NixOS I ended up using quicklisp instead of Nix to build stumpwm, mostly because I couldn't figure out any other way to get various contrib modules to work
