I'm using a custom keyboard layout, that I set with setxkbmap ...
17:37:52
ecraven
however, stumpwm still uses the "default" keymap dvorak on my system
17:37:58
ecraven
is there any way to change that?
17:38:07
ecraven
right now, stumpwm recognizes the keys differently than all the other programs

hm.. maybe I should rebuild stumpwm, seems there were some interesting changes

i have 6 monitors and 2 gpus and use xrandr to configure them. they are all listed in one "x screen" but i am only able to access (or create frames) on 4 monitors (one of the gpus) and im unable to create frames on the other 2 monitors
3:22:34
commanderkeen
any ideas of where I should start?
3:35:36
loke`
commanderkeen: Are all the monitors listed using the Stumpwm API's?
3:35:55
loke`
It's probably likely that you are one of (if not the) first people to try this.
3:36:25
commanderkeen
loke`: which api?
3:36:34
commanderkeen
i'm able to see the mouse across all 6
3:37:00
commanderkeen
but i can't create a frame on the troubled 2
3:37:27
commanderkeen
i thought about maybe trying to create a head? I'm looking through the source code.
3:37:36
loke`
What if you list all heads?
3:38:10
loke`
What do you get from this: (stumpwm:screen-heads (car stumpwm:*screen-list*))
3:38:49
commanderkeen
(#S(frame 0 NIL 0 2160 3840 2160) #S(frame 1 NIL 0 0 1920 1080) #S(frame 2 NIL 0 1080 1920 1080) #S(frame 3 NIL 1920 1080 1920 1080))
3:40:06
commanderkeen
so that's showing the 4 working ones, but missing the other two
3:41:26
loke`
So the question is how the head list is created. Let's check the code...
3:43:43
loke`
Hmm, it's done in INIT-SCREEN
3:44:08
loke`
Which calls MAKE-SCREEN-HEADS
3:44:29
loke`
Ok, if I were to guess... I think the problem is in the call to DELETE-DUPLICATES
3:44:42

Can you run the following command:
3:44:46
loke`
"xdpyinfo -ext XINERAMA"

Can you share a picture of your setup? I'd love to see how you physically set up 6 monitors. :-)
3:51:00
commanderkeen
sure. that will take a few minutes
3:52:54
loke`
commanderkeen: Anyway, your problem is because the output of this command only lists 4 heads. Check the last few lines of the output.

That's ridiculous. :-)
