*never never never*

Demosthenex
i'm the exact opposite of all the typical tiling wm people
23:28:24
Demosthenex
i don't want to "tag" windows, i don't want to have 10 carefully organized screens

I don't name frames I was just confused about how you'd know where to put the window?
23:28:57
Demosthenex
i have a startup script which creates all the frames, it'd be fine to run the command and wait for a screen to return before continuing

I just dump frames+window placment rules and then restore on start up
23:30:02
Demosthenex
never. i don't want the same window in the same place
23:30:13
Demosthenex
i organize spatially

I've definitley seen functions that create windows and then put them in places

but making a hook run isn't the same as "launch program and wait for the window to appear" while you launch several in a row
23:34:55
Demosthenex
that code would do async events, where i need to go step by step in order
23:35:28
Demosthenex
i guess i could recurse a list of functions :P
23:35:34
Demosthenex
and use the event to trigger them

I think I've never really used a floating window, but that'd be good for like... video confrences
