PuercoPop: I uninstalled Debian's version, which was from ~2016, and now the build works. Apparently it was picking my distro's version while `ql:quickload`ing on the repl was getting the quicklisp version which was up-to-date.

Hi all. I'm a recent convert to stumpwm (trying to replace dwm/dmenu/tmux/etc) and I'm still trying to wrap my head around the stumpwm scripting

In particular, I'm trying to set up a command that says "if a group doesn't exist, create it with these several windows; if it does, change to it"

but I'm running into trouble with the "if a group doesn't exist" conditional. Is there a way to test whether a group exists?

@Achylles I guess? I was looking for something I could put in my .stumpwmrc file and my understanding is that it is scripted directly in lisp, right? (though with the ability to access stumpwm commands too)

there are lots of things for you to put in your .stumpwmrc --> many ready to use modules --> https://github.com/stumpwm/stumpwm-contrib

And I'm getting set up with run-or-raise functions with a custom set of mappings

But I was trying to see if there is a good way to detect the currently-created groups
