beach: a timid reminder about the recommendation letter we have talked about the other day :)

I don't know the client, nor the client's address. And I don't know what the client wants from you so I don't know what aspects of your work to emphasize.

ah, OK, sorry for not providing them. I've meant a recomendation letter I could forward myself. basically I have a clim-related contract opportunity for a company that has clim-like implementation of their backend in common lisp

It is not done that way. The client can not trust you to just forward things. You give me the address and the information you want to emphasize and I write the letter of recommendation.

Imagine for instance that I wanted to write a bad recommendation. If I gave that letter to you, you simply wouldn't forward it, and the client would get only positive information. That means that the client can't trust information coming from you.

uhm, OK. that's not what I've gathered from what they were requesting, but that will work too I'm sure. I'll write you details on email then. thanks

If you remember, can you tell me: 1. When I first hired you to do McCLIM work. 2. When that work was over and you decided to maintain it anyway.

you've hired me in May 2016, in January 2017 I had a second source of income so I've decided to maintain McCLIM from my own resources

jackdaniel: Sent. I put you on Bcc. I usually don't do that, of course, but I think it's OK this time.

it will take me around 80h / month (that was a requirement on my part, to have time for other projects)
17:40:55
jackdaniel
initially 1 month trial and later indefinite time with each party being able to cease contract with 1 month notice

jackdaniel
yes, I do think so too; thank you! (I'm still waiting with opening the wine until the contract is signed of course)

Anyway, I'm off to fix dinner for my (admittedly small) family. I'll be back tomorrow. But tomorrow morning will be even more chaotic than a normal Monday. :(
