Documenting things before they're finished is a waste of time unless you are a manager and don't actually write the code yourself in my opinion

Running it is just LEAF:LAUNCH in any case, though I have no guarantees that it'll work or that you'll know what to do if it does

I'm hesitant to commit to explaining stuff because unless I am assured I'd actually get something out of it (work done for me) it'd just be a waste of time for me. Sorry.

Shinmera: The reason I'd like to setup on a non-local system is that I like to be as close to a "live" system as possible (I do realize I can get quite close to one locally as well), mostly for getting a feel for the flow of things and eventual automating of things. But no need for that now because now it seems to work when I changed to toplevel only.

Shinmera: I had www.solkattenarboga.se instead of solkattenarboga.se in my config. at the time I added the domain to the config I errorously though that I had to be specific with the subdomain (I have a mailservice on the same server for instance). Yes yes my noobishness shines through ;)

Shinmera: Thanks again for your time helping out! I am sure I'll have more questions but now I have even more energy and hope in getting alot further! :D

malm: For development I heavily advise setting things up locally as detached as possible from the live system. You can always add a second environment that mirrors the one from the live system for testing

malm: But generally you should not be thinking about your deployment target while developing

Shinmera: True. I go a little against the dev/DevOps split atm, mostly bevcause I am not really used to the split yet. :) But your advise is a very good one. Thanks :)

I just like to not think about sysops as long as possible, because sysops is synonymous with "things go wrong and you'll waste a day in tears and anger"

anyway, you can try doing something like (ql:quickload :plaster) in the server and visiting /!/plaster/ on your server to see if things work

Shinmera: Markless is quite neat! I guess this is a good time for me to look into how pandoc works, because I kind of want to generate PDFs and other stuff using it.

someone on the lisp discord started work on a TeX backend, but I frankly don't have high hopes of that getting completed any time soon

I would like a direct pdf output at some point, but I don't have enough interest at the moment to work on it

Hello, I would like to report a bug about Portacle. Problem: (On Linux) Can't run portacle.desktop if it's extracted in a directory with space in its name. E.g. I expected portacle to /home/USER/Download/my lisp/portacle After clicking portacle.desktop in the portacle directory, nothing happened.

Solution: Don't use space in directory's name. I.e. use 'my_lisp' as directory's name instead of 'my lisp'.

i think in portacle.run, SCRIPT=$(dirname ...) needs quotes aroud the value side
