It should be as simple as: download the current windows binary; download the sbcl sources for the version you want

there might be some fiddling with build environments needed. (Also, if you're using WSL, isn't that basically a Linux VM, so wouldn't you want the Linux binaries?)

so i need the sbcl *binary* as the host compiler to compile it for the target environment?

(sb-ext:search-roots (sb-ext:make-weak-pointer (third *my-string*)) :print :verbose) -> ; No value on sbcl-2.0.0 this is the example in manual and it should print something. what am i doing wrong?

it doesn't print anything. this should be returning something but does not: (sb-ext:search-roots (sb-ext:make-weak-pointer (third *my-string*))) -> ; No value

this should return something but returns NIL: (sb-ext:search-roots (sb-ext:make-weak-pointer (third *my-string*)) :print nil) -> NIL

with :gc t it still does not look like the example in the manual: (sb-ext:search-roots (sb-ext:make-weak-pointer (third *my-string*)) :print nil :gc t) -> (("my string" ("repl-thread" #.(SB-SYS:INT-SAP #X529C23B8))))
