This message `Ignoring unkown scancode` comes for the first two keys after every reboot, typed into repl, irc, med. I tried with 'ha' 'ot' 'zq' in repl and med. Not for any subsequent key, not even for the keys that triggered the message. Both keys show up in repls commandline.

that's very strange. I don't think I've touched anything keyboard related since demo4

can you do (trace mezzano.supervisor:ps/2-key-read) and report what values you see when you press left shift+c (the trace messages will be printed in the serial log)

I'd expect to see 42 (left shift press), 46 ('c' press), 174 ('c' release), 170 (left shift release)

oh, I remember this bug now. you'll have to update the mezzano repo in mbuild to get the fix

the bug causes the keybindings to be all messed up, #\C really is bound to break. it's not reading the key incorrectly or anything like that
