phoe: in that case, does this look OK? https://github.com/slime/slime/commit/708d9750fff3ade572ec5d156b003fb49335f50e

I couldn't get CCL running on Windows, Lispworks isn't released yet, my version of ACL doesn't include package local nicknames yet and... didn't investigate whether I could get Clasp running here. *sigh*
17:49:59
phoe
luis: seems OK; just be mindful that LispWorks might not have PLNs before 7.2
17:51:03
luis
phoe: SLIME will be ready then. I've also tweaked the inspector to display package-local nicknames.
17:51:20
Cthulhux
SLY is the better SLIME :p
18:02:21
phoe
luis: OK, I understand this now - thanks
18:22:32
Xach
ACTION forks access to sharplispers for now
18:26:16
phoe
Xach: need any help with it?
18:27:01
Xach
phoe: it needs to be fixed to build with latest sbcl, i don't know if there's a pr but that would be helpful
18:30:23
Xach
phoe: it's forked, are you up for a pr on https://github.com/sharplispers/access ?
18:30:25
phoe
Xach: OK, lemme try doing that.
18:40:12
phoe
Xach: should I file issues against the original, or will you enable issues on the fork?
18:44:25
phoe
two PRs filed, one against original, another against sharplispers; please verify and merge
18:47:23
Xach
you can't tell me in which order to do such things!!
18:48:33
ck_
"Merge First Development", excellent startup idea
18:49:01
Xach
phoe: that PR works for me
18:52:38
phoe
anyway, the test suite is warning
18:52:45
phoe
where should I file the issue related to that?
18:56:15
Xach
i don't know. what is the warning?
19:08:41
phoe

20:07:05
phoe
seems like a bug of some sort, nothing that is breaking the code
20:07:17
phoe
...until SBCL decides that keywords are illegal type specifiers and that warrants a compile-time warning
20:08:32
phoe
are keywords valid type specifiers though?... (deftype :foo ...) et al
20:10:19
charles`
I personally would avoid that, but what do I know
20:16:02
phoe
I'm afraid it's not a question of style, it's a question of conformance
20:16:11
phoe
style-wise I'd also avoid it completely
20:29:58
chewb
hello, is anyone here? i need help with setting up this common lisp project https://github.com/wzrdsappr/trading-core
20:30:03
chewb

20:39:27
chewb
i putted trading-core dir into local-projects and run quicklisp command, it tried to load it, but i get error because file-io system not found
20:40:30
aeth
chewb: That means that it probably has a dependency that's not in Quicklisp
20:44:55
charles`
did you download that one too?
20:45:33
chewb
it did started compiling lot of things but get error on swing-breakout step
20:53:25
phoe
chewb: convert the files from Windows to Unix line endings
20:54:10
chewb
what do you mean? i havent edited files of this project
21:01:18
phoe
chewb: but you have git cloned them, right?
21:01:35
phoe
https://docs.github.com/en/github/using-git/configuring-git-to-handle-line-endings
21:01:40
phoe
you'll want to check out Unix line endings
