19:51:53afidegnumhello, using elisp, i m trying to fetch the output of my python file and display but i m having a nil output, what am i missing? https://dpaste.de/4Yi0
20:17:49pjbor ##lisp to discuss it in general, as this is not an emacs specific problem, but a mere programming question.
20:26:57thijsoIn ECL I'm getting STACK-OVERFLOW errors. Is this something like a runaway recursive thing or something? It says "Stack can probably be resized", but I've gone from 2000 to over 40000 now, and it keeps telling me this after some rather minor changes in my code
20:27:23Bikethijso: runaway recursive function is a common cause of stack overflows, yes. can you get a backtrace?
20:27:37thijsoWell... minor, but invasive maybe. I put in verbose for logging instead of my own format t stuff
20:28:02thijsoNo, backtrace is not there. It's inside a docker and non-interactive
20:28:10thijsoBut I should be able to run it manually...
20:29:10Bikeit's possible to introduce these things in pretty complicated ways. For example, you could have some kind of object, and a function on that object. With the verbose flag on, when that function is called, the object is printed in the log. But the print-object method on that object also calls that function. Voila
