The internet is probably like 99.999% spam. That you can mostly avoid spam is a miracle, but sometimes spam slips through the cracks of a system.
23:18:25
z3t0
This is probably a very basic question... How do I copy file1.txt to file2.txt in commonlisp? I have been using uiop:copy-file but that fails because the target file doesnt exist. I thought about reading the file then writing it as strings but then I also have non string files
23:18:32
z3t0
Should I read and write bytes?
23:19:12
aeth
it fails because the source file doesn't exist? or the destination?
23:21:27
aeth
z3t0: Maybe you can use uiop:copy-stream-to-stream
23:22:22
z3t0
ah it worked! I was missing a "/" in the target path and didnt realise it was writing the file, just in the upper folder
23:30:19
aeth
yeah, those things are tricky
23:30:52
aeth
it's very easy to mess up paths

9:15:57
beach
nullx002: I am not a web expert but I think there are at least two. Maybe more.
9:18:13
nullx002

nullx002: What is the reason for your question? I am asking because you seem to be new here. I don't recognize your nick.
9:28:29
nullx002
yes, using bit of lisp and emacslisp for few years, but nothing special. was off the grid for 3 years..
9:29:29
nullx002
still only on a mobile device..
9:30:11
ecraven
quite a few lisps (in the generic sense) run on mobile devices
9:30:23
nullx002
thinking of running tiny webserver from mobile, just for..
9:31:38
nullx002
use Emacs without X on emulator... clisp works well with Emacs plugins as IDE
9:32:04
Nilby
my phone can run my whole lisp mini-ecosystem just fine
9:32:43
nullx002
Nilby, yes, I use golang too... just learning
9:33:18
nullx002
emacs without X on emulator is really fast...
9:33:54
nullx002
have to git more often though for webapps
9:35:05
nullx002
and tinyscheme too... :)
