14:27:04stacksmithA quick sanity check. I am trying ECL on Raspberry pi (32-bit). It seems slower than expected: it took minutes to get the initial asdf/quicklisp to come up in Emacs, and a not-so-big set of cffi bindings I am working on takes 6 seconds to load with quicklisp... Does that sound right?
14:28:19jackdanielstacksmith: if it was a first run, slime was probably being compiled etc
14:28:38jackdanieland that takes time, because gcc is painfully slow on rpi (first hand experience)
14:30:00jackdaniel(quick remainder: ECL compiles to C and then calls system C compiler, ~70% time is spent in the latter)
14:30:15jackdanielbytecodes compiler is way faster, but produces way slower code
14:30:59jackdanielI'm going to do shopping now, I'll check logs when I'm back
