also I've answered all issues in the input buffer pr and still eagerly wait for presentation types #3 to be merged

is there not a dependency between the two? i assumed the presentation-related pull requests were on hold until the input refactoring is done

ok, i will try to look at it. but with the heat wave and more looking after child, it may take a bit more time

thanks (regarding presentation). i think it went fine and even revealed a bug (as you saw in #lisp)

scymtym: What was amusing to me was the change in reactions during the presentation. Initially, the remarks suggested that people didn't think it was anything for them, and they were contemplating how to get some of the features into the SLIME inspector. Then such ideas vanished, and people initially very quiet, and finally, very enthusiastic.

that coincides with the fact, that the project has now 400 stars, and it had 399 for few past weeks. not that it matters

I don't think it is very useful, still it is sticked to the github's repository layout so I can't help but watch it

jackdaniel: I don't know whether you were there when I said that I think this kind of presentation is useful for showing people what a great job is being done.

but I agree, that without some shoutout many pearls of software engineering are not recognized

And scymtym reminded me that a CLIM-based editor is missing. I really should try to implement the indentation code in Second Climacs. That's what's holding everything up.

I wonder if we could just whip our own input manager abstraction and parse /some/ files which define mappings to feed it with data -- that would be also useful for other backends
