13:50:40frgoI am trying to do a (setf (clim:foreground text-field-pane) clim:+white+) of a text field pane. Now that fails because the defclass of class basic-pane says that there is only a reader for the foreground color slot. Setf'ing the background color is possible as there is an accessor defined for that slot. Any reason why this is so?
14:06:30jackdanielfrgo: these are used only when panes are engrafted (so all you need are initargs)
14:06:41jackdanielyou still may setf medium-foreground and medium-background at runtime
14:07:02jackdanielI'm not sure why one is made the accessor
14:07:39frgoSo I set medium-foreground and medium-background, ok. How do I get to the medium from a pane? (Newbie ...)
14:49:50frgoNext Q: Given *application-frame* is there a function that finds a pane by its name? like (find-pane :blabla appliication-frame) ... Objective is to find a desired pane by its name to set properties like text and colors.
15:31:00beachMaybe we can convince Shinmera to teach Colleen about CLIM.
15:39:05jackdanielbeach: it will cover more and take less time if he had implemented l1sp.org bridge (which covers clhs, clim, amop and many other specifications)
