could anyone proofread this for me: https://gist.github.com/dkochmanski/50745ffeeced2d518dce658f2791bdf9 ? this is a new iteration report

short after that I plan to make Kupala Night release (0.9.7) – hope nobody minds, last release was 2008

jackdaniel
I'd do that already, but I want to fix Clozure CL problem with CLX backend first
19:32:03
jackdaniel
also I want to confirm that it still works on CMU and CLISP (I'm trying it from time to time on ECL, so I know it works there)
19:34:11
jackdaniel
I'll give it a try as a second client (it doesn't qualify as a main one – constant session is something I'm totally used to)

slyrus
ok. hoping that we actually have more clim apps in regular use one day (second climacs anyone? :) )

jackdaniel
I'm hacking a simple project manager for clim, but due to constant lack of time it gets dropped and resumed now and then
19:36:47
jackdaniel
btw, I have a dillema regarding behavior: if we have a clipping region recorded in the output record – what should be its bounding rectangle? full original object it records, or the clipping region?
19:37:44
jackdaniel
I would opt for a clipping region, because the former interpretation leads to very unintuitive behavior
19:38:13
jackdaniel
for instance you may click in bigger area to select object than the actual drawing primitive
19:39:45
jackdaniel
so I'd opt for the latter, and it works pretty well for me, but I'm not sure if it doesn't violate a spec, or if it could break some application
19:39:59
jackdaniel
so I need to give it more thought and do more testing before making a pull request
19:43:48

I can't move the square outside the window, but that's a reported and known issue. otherwise all works just fine
19:46:47
jackdaniel
I have #<STANDARD-GENERIC-FUNCTION CLIM-INTERNALS::INVOKE-WITH-SHEET-MEDIUM-BOUND (5)>, but only when I drag box outside the window
19:48:44
jackdaniel
may I close your as a duplicate and add a note, that for you it has a problem even without moving outside the window?
19:51:29
jackdaniel
btw, I've found *working* functionality for copy-paste in McCLIM (which works with X protocol)
19:52:04
jackdaniel
it'd be good to blog about it, because it is totally unexposed (still works given programmer knows the keyboard shortcuts)
19:55:13
jackdaniel
shift-mouse-l down etc. implement copy-paste (and it works, I've confirmed that a week ago)

code looks like something what could use some refactoring, but the main idea is clearly outlined there
