jackdaniel: this seems to say that the mirrored part of the sheet hierarchy and the corresponding mirror hierarchy should be isomorphic trees: "However, on those display servers that support hierarchical windows, the hierarchies must be parallel. If a mirrored sheet is an ancestor of another mirrored sheet, their corresponding mirrors must have a similar ancestor/descendant relationship." (not that it matters much)

the single-mirror-for-multiple-mirrored-sheets idea also leads to problems with the way e.g. DESTROY-MIRROR is specified

right, still going from a mirror to a sheet goes beyond the standard, while the other way around is just fine. but yeah, you are correct and my previous assertion was not
