15:20:31paulapatience[m]Yeah right now the difficulty for me is getting llvm-9 installed because I'm on Debian Sid and it complains about broken packages (it doesn't want to install libgcc-8-dev). If I figure out how to get that working I am confident I can install clasp dev
15:26:30paulapatience[m]Yes and no. In fact, libclang-9-dev depends on libgcc-8-dev, but the versions available in Sid are libgcc-9-dev and *-10-dev. I have to figure out if it's possible to downgrade just the llvm-9 dependencies.
15:27:14cracauerI think you need to install llvm-9 with clang-9 from sources on sid. I don't think you can pull in the testing packages.
15:27:23cracauerI usually make a /opt/llvm for that.
15:27:39paulapatience[m]Yeah, that's what I feared
15:27:48paulapatience[m]Ok I'll get started on that, thanks
15:29:02cracauerOn CentOS I had to use the stable branch in the llvm git tree as a base. The tarfiles did not work.
