drmeister: how do i refer to cl:* in C++? is it just cl::_sym_STAR?
14:35:16
Bike
the * function is called cl___TIMES_ so i wonder
14:35:27
Bike
oh, nope, it's not _sym_STAR
14:36:15
drmeister
Is that symbol defined?
14:36:35
drmeister
Hang on on phone on train. Switching to laptop
14:39:34
drmeister
Did you try putting SYMBOL_EXPOSE_SC_(ClPkg,STAR); somewhere?
14:39:59
drmeister
SYMBOL_EXPOSE_SC_(ClPkg,_TIMES_) might also work but then use sym__TIMES_
14:42:15
drmeister
Yeah - there is no cl::sym_STAR defined in build/boehm/generated/symbols_scraped_inc.h
14:42:28
drmeister
That's where all symbols that are accessible as sym_WHATEVER are defined.
14:42:50
drmeister
That means there is no SYMBOL_EXPOSE_SC_(ClPkg,STAR); anywhere

drmeister: do you happen to have any idea what i could have done to get an error of "expected class_id 1203 symbol was not defined"?
21:32:45
drmeister
What have you been doing?
21:33:03
Bike
i tried changing the char< etc functions to take a VaList_sp instead of a List_sp
21:34:25
Bike
i'm just using remaining_nargs and next_arg, shouldn't be anything too weird
23:28:07
drmeister
We should put something in the scraper to catch that inconsistency. That’s a horrible way to error out.
